Hi guys! In my last post, I mentioned I’d be starting a new series called Beauty Tools and so today, I’ll be talking about one of the things which you’ll probably go through and use the most is makeup remover face wipes.
For something that you’re going to go through and use so often so fast (especially if you use makeup everyday), I recommend to opt towards those which are cheaper yet provide good quality at the same time. If you’re one who double or triple cleanses as part of your routine, the type of wipes you use shouldn’t matter too much as long as it removes the bulk of your makeup. Here are a few cost effective wipes that I’ve used and here’s how they weighed up.
Chemist Warehouse have a range of affordable wipes ranging from $2 to the standard $5-$6. These Health + Beauty wipes are very wallet friendly as they come in a pack of 3 for around $5. They are average, nothing special here but they do just the job you need them to do.
Priceline is another great place to find all your affordable face wipes across several different brands. I’ve picked up and repurchased their Beauty Essentials Fresh wipes time and time again and at $2 per pack, you definitely can’t go wrong. They’ve repackaged these since I last bought them but they come in several different ranges for different skin types to cover normal and sensitive skin. They have exfoliating wipes, wipes with Argon Oil, Cucumber, Aloe Vera just to name a few. You can check out their range here.
Moving on to Kmart (don’t we ALL love Kmart!) and Target, also have some great affordable wipes starting from just $1.50 that do just the job and come in a range of fragrances. Again, for something that you’re going to use everyday or are looking for something that’s wallet friendly, these make excellent choices. For an idea of what they stock, check out Kmart’s website here or Target in stores.
Another place where I’ve found some great beauty gems is believe it or not, Aldi. I’ve tried a few of their skincare products before and their quality has completely surprised me. Their face wipes were no different. What I love about their face wipes is that the size of each wipe is slightly bigger than the average wipes. Usually they’re about 19 x 15cm or 19 x 17cm but these ones are 19 x 19cm. It doesn’t sound like much but you can actually notice a difference when using them on your face. What more, for some reason, the more you use these wipes and the closer to the bottom or the end of the packaging that you get, the more moisture I find coming out of these wipes. With the others, they tend to dry out a little from closing and opening the packet but these ones stayed very nice all the way to the very end. At less than $2 per pack, these are definitely worth your bang for your buck.
And lastly, just a few other wipes I’ve used and really liked are the ones from Simple, Olay and Coles. They’re very soft and gentle on the skin yet at the same time remove makeup very well. I would definitely repurchase these.
I hope this gives you an idea of where to start or look for if you’re wanting to mix up or try out different face wipes. Leave a comment below which ones you’ve tried and love!
Until next time xo
